Ane Pilegaard Sørensen – Exhibition Assistant
My work at Medical Museion
I’m part of the exhibition-making personel at the museum, and work primarily with the development of exhibition concepts and exhibition design. In collaboration with Curator Bente Vinge Pedersen, I’m right now developing and designing a new exhibition that will focus on the Gastro Bypass-operation, while also dealing with surgery in a broader perspective.
My background
I hold a master’s degree in Exhibition Design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, and a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Copenhagen.
Previously I’ve mainly been working in the field of art exhibitions. At the National Gallery of Denmark, I’ve been involved with exhibition-making relating to the new presentation of the museums permanent collection (2010-2011). However, I’m not only concerned with the mere practical aspects of exhibition-making, and have also been dealing with more theoretical issues in the field of exhibition design. As a Research Assistant at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, I’ve been investigating the spatial aspects of exhibition media and spatial strategies in exhibition design. |
