I went to the Nobel Museum seminar on exhibiting science in museums last Monday (26 March) where Marika Hedin from the Nobel Museum    spoke about the challenges in exhibiting the history of modern science (the experiences of science centres, problems in funding/sponsoring, relations with the scientific community, etc.).

Commentator was Samuel Edquist   , historian of ideas from Södertörns Högskola.

Eva Ahrén   from the Nobel Museum chaired the seminar which gathered some 15 people from the Stockholm region.

In the discussion afterwards a number of questions were brought up, among other things the fact that few museum exhibitions seem to have learned the basic lessons from recent scholarship in the history of science, technology and medicine scholarship or in science studies.
