Ars Bioartctica has announced an open call for up to 3 fully funded residencies during autumn 2017 and year 2018 in Kilpisjärvi biological station. They invite applications from artists and artist groups based in the Nordic and Baltic countries (except Finland) to apply now until the 22nd of June.

Ars Bioarctica is a long term art&science initiative, driven by The Finnish Bioart Society, with a focus on the sub Arctic environment. It was started in autumn 2008 together with the Kilpisjärvi Kilpisjärvi Biological Station of the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, University of Helsinki. Ars Bioarctica fosters projects between artists and scientists to develop new kind of scientific and artistic thinking. Through this they wish to participate and contribute to the discussion on the relation between humankind and nature.
