My work at Medical Museion

My PhD project aims to develop spatial and materiel strategies in exhibition design, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities that arise when medical research are presented in an exhibition context. The project is practice-based and linked to a forthcoming exhibition at Medical Museion, showing the museum's collection of human specimens. Through an experimental design approach, the project will examine the spatial-material encounter between museum visitor and exhibition object. In this case, an encounter between two bodies: the body of the visitor and the exhibited, medical body.

My background

I hold a master’s degree in Exhibition Design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, where I specialized in Exhibition Design. Since 2001 I've been employed at Medical Museion, partly involved in practical exhibition making and partly doing research on exhibition design and medical science communication. Prior to that I've been working in the field of art exhibitions at The National Gallery of Denmark and Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art.
