Medical Museion is open, but due to distance requirements, there is a limited number of tickets for sale per day. Tickets must be bought online before your visit.

Unfortunately we cannot offer public guided tours at the moment.

It is a requirement from the authorities that all visitors show a Corona Passport and ID. 

From 14th June: It is no longer a requirement to wear a face mask when visiting the museum.

From 1st July: A negativ PCR test is valid for 96 hours, a negative quick test is valid for 72 hours. 

From 1st August: Corona passport is no longer a requirement.

Tuesday-Friday 10am – 4pm

Saturday-Sunday 12pm – 4pm

Adults: 90 DKK
Students: 60 DKK
Children 7-18 years: 50 DKK
Children under 7: free
Senior citizens: 60 DKK
Free: Employees and students at the University of Copenhagen, ICOM and ODM. Please remember valid ID.

Time slots

To follow the guidelines from the authorities and to prevent too many people at the museum at the same time during the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone must buy tickets online in advance.

There are short introductions to the exhibitions by a museum guide in our auditorium at 10.15, 12.15 og 14.15 on weekdays and 12.15 og 14.15 on weekends.

Public holidays

The museum is open from 12-16 on all public holidays if these fall on days on which the museum would ordinarily be open.

Medical Museion is closed between Christmas and New Year (23rd December – 1st January both days included).


The exhibitions are on display in unique historical buildings with many staircases. Unfortunately there are no lifts or elevators as yet.

Museum shop

The museum shop is open. It’s possible to pay with mobilepay or credit card. No cash.

Practical information

Photography (no flash, please) is permitted and encouraged.

No food or drinks allowed.

Bags – regardless of size – must be left in the lockers provided.
