Udstillingen består af 37 genstande, der hver især er et eksempel på en reparation af kroppen. I nogle tilfælde har kroppen på egen hånd atter samlet en brækket knogle med nyt stærkt knoglevæv, og i andre situationer har kroppen fået en hjælpende hånd fra lægevidenskaben og teknologien.De udstillede genstande kommer fra alle dele af Medicinsk Museions store samling og viser både historiske og nutidige eksempler på reparationer af kroppen.
