Extended opening hours during the Winter Holidays, 10-22 February

The public schools in Denmark are closed in either week 7 or 8. For this reason we are extending our opening hours at Medical Museion.

Between 10-22 February 2013 the museum will be open every day (except Saturday, 16 February):

Monday-Friday and Sunday, 12 – 4pm

Admission: adults 50 DKK / children, students, and pensioners 30 DKK

Guided tours (in Danish): Monday-Friday at 1pm and 2pm, Sunday at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Guided tours for children (also in Danish) at 12.30pm on all opening days during the winter holidays.

Come visit us in the old Royal Academy of Surgeons in Bredgade 62. Explore the old building and its beautiful rooms. Check out the permanent exhibitions on medical history and the special exhibitions on newer research medicine. Come learn a thing or two about medical treatment, medicine, views on health and diseases both before and now.

You can either join one of the guided tours or walk around at the museum on your own (note: parts of the museum can only be seen with a guide). See our permanent exhibitions on surgery, dental treatment, the Copenhagen hospital service, psychiatry, and more. Newer exhibitions deal with topics such as aging, conceptions of the human body, and obesity viewed in a philosophical, scientific, historical and artistic perspective.
