Yet again Medical Museion is opening its doors for a night of exciting medical culture! This time we are celebrating the 225th anniversary of the Royal Surgical Academy by focusing on the history and future of surgery.

18:00 – 00:00 ENTIRE MUSEUM EXHIBITION
225 YEARS OF THE ROYAL SURGICAL ACADEMY
The entire museum is open all night. You will be able to enjoy our permanent exhibition as well as our brand new temporary exhibition, “Obesity – What’s the problem?“, that focuses on one of biggest health problems of our time. The exhibitions doesn’t tell you how to get a flat stomach, but examines bariatric surgery and the most recent research in metabolic science.
19:00 – 23:00 RECEPTION ROOM INTERACTIVE
HOW TO SUTURE LIKE A SURGEON
One of the basic skills of a surgeon is suturing – that is closing wounds using stitches. Tonight you can learn how it’s done and try it out for yourself!

LIVE SCANNING OF THE BODY
A demonstration of ultrascound scanning in the anatomical theatre. You’ll get to see the internal organs of a living person on a big screen!
