Soft Monsters and Fluid Bodies

Join us for a special guided tour of the exhibition Liquid Bodies at the Medical Museion, where we explore the history of stem cell research and its “monsters”. From Dolly the cloned sheep and the first test-tube babies to mini-brains grown in petri dishes, these breakthroughs challenge the boundaries between natural and artificial, human and non-human. Stem cell research holds enormous potential, but it also raises questions about where we draw the line and what we consider monstrous.

Practical information
We meet at the ticket desk at Bredgade 62, Medical Museion
DKK 75 / DKK 50 for students
Maximum 18 participants

About the exhibition
Stem cells can repair, transform and perhaps one day replace parts of our bodies. They inspire hope and raise doubts and new questions about the boundaries between treatment, enhancement and imagination. In Liquid Bodies, art, medical history and current research come together to explore these questions.
