Medical Museion is happy to lend objects from the collections to both national and international exhibitions. Loan applications must be received by the museum no later than 6 months before the exhibition’s planned opening.

When requesting a loan, a written loan application should be sent to the museum with the following information:

• Description of the desired item(s) with object description, time period, author, etc.
• Exhibition period, description and concept.
• Facility report or similar of exhibition rooms and adjacent areas.

We generally lend for a period of up to 1 year.

In some cases, e.g. if there is a need for conservation tasks, fitting, urgent matters etc., it will be necessary to charge a fee. In these cases, the costs are always agreed upon before the loan contract is signed.

Special requirements apply to the lending of human specimens. These are discussed in advance and specified in more detail before the contract is signed.

Medical Museion may require courier on lending assignments.
