On the 23rd of August 2015, Mind the Gut curator Louise Whiteley participated in the symposium “Considering Exhibitions”, which focused on interdisciplinarity in relation to exhibitions. The talk by Louise Whiteley reveals some of the first ideas and visions for the exhibition. Mind the Gut will invite artists, humanistic researchers, scientists and curators to work together from an early stage. The exhibition aims to challenge our understanding of the “self” by investigating the connection between lofty heads, our grungy guts, and the microbial multitudes. The talk can be heard here.

The symposium Considering Exhibitions was organised by The Bikuben Foundation, the Danish foundation who awarded Mind the Gut with the Exhibition Prize Vision 2015. The symposium is a part of series of discussions about the good exhibition.  The presentations from the other participants can also be heard online.
