Record number of visits in 2023

55,444 guests. That's how many we've had the pleasure of welcoming in 2023. It marks a 30 % increase compared to 2022.

Over the past year, we’ve introduced several new events and projects, all warmly received by our audience. In collaboration with Politiken, we launched a new science festival focused on Nobel Prizes and research. We participated in the Expo science festival at Øksnehallen, engaging with students of all ages. Our new eventspace ‘Appendix’ has opened, allowing visitors to get up close with the collection and objects. Our popular evening events, ‘Aftenkonsultationer,’ covered crucial topics such as mental health, psychedelics, diagnoses, children and youth, women in research, and raging hormones. For the first time, we hosted outdoor events in the museum’s herb garden, featuring meditations and lectures on natural medicine. We’ve increased our activities for children and families. Our skilled guides have hosted more school classes and groups through the museum’s exhibitions than ever before.

Thanks to all of you who have visited. We look forward to a new year filled with exciting events and an entirely new exhibition about margarine, opening on March 22.
