Hope Springs Eternal is an ambitious transnational exhibition project designed to create novel ways to engage audiences with new stem cell research and biotechnologies.

Transnational exhibition project
The project is based at the Medical Museion and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW).
The project will culminate in a core exhibition in Copenhagen at the Medical Museion and Politikens Forhal, followed by satellite exhibits at the Science Gallery in Melbourne, Rijksmuseum Boerhaave in Leiden, and Boston Museum of Science during 2026.
The project is anchored in a research-based collaborative process bringing together curators with reNEW scientists, contemporary artists and stakeholders including patient representatives.

Medical Museion

Medical Museion is located in the heart of Copenhagen at the Royal Surgical Academy, dating from 1787. In this building, modern Danish medical science was established. The museum is part of the University of Copenhagen. Through science, art, and history, the museum builds bridges to the latest research.

Politikens Forhal

Located in the historic headquarters of the Danish newspaper Politiken, Politikens Forhal is a unique exhibition space in central Copenhagen. With a focus on visual art and current issues, the space invites the public into thought-provoking exhibitions that reflect and challenge the world around us.
