Levende skulpturer

I dag er der kommet nyt liv i The Living Room. Der er tale om tre levende skulpturer af ler, træ og hamp tilsat levende svampe mycelium.

Virtual Reality på Medicinsk Museion

I juli 2021 blev Medicinsk Museion udvalgt til at medvirke i et projekt kaldet Digitraining. En del af projektet var, at Medicinsk Museion, i samarbejde med Khora, skulle udvikle en Virtual Reality film til museet.

Gall kranier

Lad mig føle dit kranie og jeg kan fortælle dig hvem du er

I dag lyder det måske lidt skørt, men i 1800-tallet kunne man gå til frenolog og få kortlagt sine personlighedstræk på baggrund af kraniets form/bump og buler. Det kan minde lidt om håndlæsning eller horoskoper, men i en årrække blev frenologi betragtet som en videnskab.

Indsamling til udstillingen “Corona bliver også historie en dag”

Lige siden coronaepidemiens første nedlukning har Medicinsk Museion indsamlet genstande til vores medicinhistoriske samlinger – det begyndte med Magnus Heunickes skilt med den grønne og den røde kurve, og siden er blandt andet testudstyr, vacciner og Philip Fabers morgenssangsnoder kommet til.

Inhabiting the concept of holobiont: thinking through visual imagery

On June 23th 2021, I (Joana Formosinho) had the pleasure of giving a talk at Aarhus University’s Center for Environmental Humanities. The talk was based on my research of how the rise to prominence of microbes within biology and biomedicine, as agents in human health, as co-evolving partners in the making of bodies, is disrupting established notions of biological individuality.
